BUILT AND IN THE APP TODAY
What works today
These features are implemented in the app. Some depend on saved content, phone hardware, regional data, or an internet connection.
Local Field AI
Bundled answers work offline. The optional on-device model is downloaded separately and runs locally.
Downloadable offline maps
Saved map packs remain available offline. Route guidance depends on whether local routing data is available for that area.
Star Navigation
The local sky chart calculates star positions; phone location and orientation sensors improve guidance when available.
Compass
The compass uses your phone’s sensors for a heading. Calibration and sensor availability affect its readings.
Water Clock and House Power Budget
Track an estimate of stored water from your last update and estimate available energy from values you enter. These are planning tools, not guarantees.
Inventory and checklists
Use the app’s supply inventory and preparedness checklists to keep track of items such as water, food, medical supplies, power, tools, and shelter.
Emergency profile
Your emergency profile is stored on this device and available offline.
Contacts and Mesh invites
Save contact categories and photos, then share selected Mesh identity details by QR code or short invite link. Radio messaging still requires compatible external hardware.
Official alerts
The supplemental alert feed saves recently received alerts for offline reference. New alerts and updates need a connection.
Internet Walkie push-to-talk
Push-to-talk voice currently works over internet-connected Wi-Fi or cellular data. Offline voice is planned for a later update and is not available yet.
SOS phone handoff
SOS opens your phone dialer with the emergency number saved in your profile (911 in the U.S.). You choose whether to place the call.

Our current estimate is weeks, not months. That is a working estimate, not a promise; testing and approvals can shift it. We do not have a specific launch date to share yet.
